Sunny Newcastle!




Well not much has been happening in sunny downtown newcastle this weekend...nope not much at all....well except for the large ship that has planted itself on one of our beaches, the flooding which has devestated the city, oh and the gale force winds that have ripped roofs off houses everywhere....and they cancelled the duathlon! Its all going on here... The picture is
of the street behind my office!
Anyway, over the last week or so I have managed to do a bit of training but not much. I have been on the wind trainer on my bike pretty much everyday, and took the mountain bike into the city in the pouring rain, and windy conditions over the weekend (whcih i am counting as training - it hurt a fair bit!)...and then i went for a run yesterday (30 mins). I did a couple of brick (or such) sessions on the wind trainer then doing some stair climbs...

my office has been completley totalled by the flooding, so I have spent the majority of the day in my office pulling wet smelley stuff out of it (which isnt as much fun as it sounds) and catching up with the guys who I am taking camping to the snow this weekend...in the process of this, I have pulled something in my neck which hurts lots when i turn my head to the right which may be a problem...seeing my chiro tommorrow though so hopefully will be ok.

k so what have i been up to since my last post!

Monday - 30 min hard session on the wind trainer
Tuesday - 3o min run around carro.
Wednesday- Off
Thursday - 10min stair training (oh my god, my calves are still recovering)
Friday - Walk along breakwall and 20min light spin on the bike and fitting shoes etc
Sat- 45 min easy ride on the bike - mostly to practice getting my feet in and out of the silly pedals!
