Update

Hey all,

ok whats been happening with training this week? I have managed the following...

Tuesday - 2.4k in 13mins and then 1.5k in the pool
Thursday- 30 min ride...

I know i should be doing so much more, but i am strugling to find the time...so when i get 30mins to myself i manage some exercise...

Lyrics

Ok...So these are the important things i do on my placement...listen to my Ipod and then make little lyrics notes...who can pick an album?

I came into this world as a reject….I want to tear off your chains cause I know…..I try to talk to you and cant get past the weather….although I try to hide its clear, my world crumbles when you are not there….I at times have had nothing, but tonight I want nothing but you….its all too familiar and it happens all the time….a gentle winter haze creeps in at 3:44….coffee smell and lilac skin…..you’re undressed in your dreams with me….cheated by the opposite of love….there’s no time to phone to home when you are racing your own time….taking me higher than I have been before….you’ve got to dance to the rolling head of the adulteress…moving with grace that men despise and women have learned to lose…want to find me a car with only one headlight…roll down the windows and teach you to fly…I know you’re home, u left your light on….true self is what brought you here to me…I had nine lives, but lost all of them…you have settled for less and you will settle again….and the simple chords which say music is the language of us all…note to self don’t change for anyone, don’t change just lie….that look was priceless, don’t let me get carried away….there the ones who will spit at you, and you will be the one screaming out…. green plastic watering can for a fake Chinese rubber band….there’s a sad summer breath tangled in your hair….yeah were stubborn and melodramatic, a real class act….you’re making me high again, I almost forget myself again….you know that I will shock you like 1000 volts…I’m breaking the strings on my guitar again…you’re so sensitive, I am a machine….I creep around slowly and receive from the TV signals about my life…a cerebral hit man permeates my mental health…the cost of my life only just includes me…I always knew that I would be the one left alone to weep….I wake up in darkest night and watch you breathe in shadow light…in this black and white town….when its missing and you want it more…I am a train like a nosebleed, cigarettes are sweet…say you believe her and believe in me…and they don’t understand what they don’t see, they look past you and they look through me…so new to your bedroom floor…what’s it feel like to be a ghost….take our hands out of control….

Slack Blogger returns

Hi There,

Yes I know I am slack...I havent been reading or commenting on anyones blogs and yes i feel very bad about it....

I have been having off and on training....
sun - went for a run for about an hour
monday - ride on hills
tuesday - run on hills
Thursday - run on hills
Friday - ride 30 mins
Sat - 2k run
Sun - 30 min ride....

I was aiming for the half yesterday but decided i wasnt in any form at all and i would just be disappointed so i spent the day doing uni work instead....

inspiration back :)

I went for an awesome run tonight....it was about 7:30pm dark and there was a nice breeze blowing and for the first time since the end of summer that i could smell the flowers and summer coming...

anyway, ran for about half an hour with the dog, no traffic, just running up and down the hills....felt awesome to be sweating, warm and working hard again...30min run with hill repeats...

It made me get some inspiration back which i have (again!) been struggling with...also gave me some time to get things in perspective...

I have also managed this week...
Monday night - 20 min run on hills
Tuesday Night - 15mins on bike and a pyramid run on treadmill from 7.5kph to 9.5kph and then back for 5oom at a time...

I had a negative running experience this week, when i told a friends partner of mine that i was aiming around 7.5mins per k for my half he responded in a very condescending....well its not like 5min ks are hard to do....

Had a few downers this week so hopefully summer will make it better and allow me to deal better with everything that is happening at the moment...

the shoulder is also improving which is a good sign i think....still havent managed to register for the half yet though....

Slackest Blogger in the World

Well I know you have all been wondering where i have been! Unfortunatley all of the talent scouts have missed me and I am still doing my normal thing....Have been flat out at work and uni and have started a placement which has meant that i have very little time to dedicate to training....in addition to this at the moment, my relationship has taken on a long distance component so I am dedicating my weekends to that....doesnt leave many hours in the week though...

Anyway, I have been trying to get at least one 1hr+ run in per week at the moment and one reasonable ride. As of sept i will be starting training twice daily which i am hoping that daylight savings is going to help me with...

I have also spoke to my chiro about the weird sticthes and shoulder pain i have been having...she has said that i have tendonitis in my left shoulder and has banned me from swimming at the moment...she also recommended i dont run and ride...but we negotiated on that :)

I am a little worried about the half in a couple of weeks, esp since i havent been training all that much, but i figure that i am better off taking it a bit easy and make sure all the niggles are sorted before i launch into tri training iin sept...

I did manage to do the "Hunter Bike Run" last week in the pouring rain with my mate bec though...

Anyone have any ideas about the tendonitis issue and what i can do?
