The good news and the Bad news...

well my week so far has been slightly less productive than previously....but i have still managed to get a little bit done...

Wednesday
I did manage to go for the long run i was planning and made it an hour, and the body was hurting quite a bit at the end. Ever since i had my massage a couple of weeks ago, the body hasnt been right, which makes me think that maybe something needs to bere-done. My neck esp and my lower back....might be time to go back to my chiro again...I worked out along my track that i was probably doing about 8mins a k....

Thursday
I dragged my little bum to the pool and did 2k in about 40 something minutes. My swimming feels like it is struggling heaps though at the moment....yes i can hear you all saying it....its because i havent done it for a thousand years....

Friday and Saturday
I managed to not do anything both days cause i was feeling a bit average and was getting the begining stages of a cold.

Sunday
Went for a 40min run and struggled against the wind for all of it, then jumped on my bike and rode out round the harbour for half an hour. Overtook me my first real cyclist btw! :)

Monday
Went to the gym after work and had a lazy one, did 20mins on the bike at 100RPM + and then 10mmins on the olliptical trainer (boring!) and 5mins jog (this was going to be 15 but the chicken burger i had for dinner was not sitting well)

Today
Jumped on my bike and had a cruise around, not actually pushing myself and averaging about 25kmph ended up doing 20k or there abouts in under an hour. I also called into the bike shop on the way, and asked them about hilary's gears as when i get up speed or try and ride up the hill, the chain feels like it is going to snap etc which feels awesome when you are riding in traffic :P

Anywho, the man at the bike shop informed me that they will try and adjust them so they dont do this anymore (the good news) the bad news of course being is that if that doesnt make any difference i will have to get a new front and rear cog, chain and possibly de-railier....the question is how much am i willing to spend on my $50 ebay bike?

Comments:
wow - $50 bike! That's a bargain if you're still cruising around at 25km/hr on the occasional easy ride.

Good to see you're back blogging too - hope the cold didn't take hold of you :)

I payed $500 for my bike and I struggle to justify spending any money on it. I think I wouldn't want to spend a dime on a $50 bike! Instead of spending my money on repairs I'd rather put it all towards buying everything new on a decent bike:)
