Which came first? The music or the misery?

Ok so I have had a semi productive weekend...

Yesterday morning, I got up and went for a moderatley paced ride for about an hour and did two laps around the beach so went along hannel st, down honeysuckle round to newcastle beach up to the police station and back to my place twice. Went with my new friend bronwyn who I have a feeling was capable of going much faster and I was just cruising along... (For those interested, hilary's retirement fund is coming along nicely and as soon as my thesis is done, there may be some new bike purchasing, cause i think it is doing bad things to my body!)

Then, I tottled my little tooshie out to the blues fest and watched Mia dyson. I have to say if you ever get a chance to see her, do it...even if you arent a blues fan...she is absolutley amazing and I was completley mesmerised by her for about an hour...anyway I digress...

Then ended up going and having some dinner with some other cyclists (Oh my god no...) and it looks like there is going to be some kind of pack forming...which i guess will be cool to get me focused...and possibly make me train a bit harder...

Got up nice and lesurily this morning and did some work and ventured out to the sun to do some cycling...went out did a 30min hard session (massive wind today) and then it looked like rain so i headed home...but it hadnt started raining so i turned it into a brick session...i ended up probably riding about 12k and then a 1k run before it started to rain...forgot how much bricks hurt and was a bit of a wake up call that i need to get alot more bricks in before i try and pretend i actually do this sport....am going to aim for a brick either once or twice a week...

am hopefully going to be able to put some kind of schedule for training in the next couple of days...i am 8 weeks off my submit date for my thesis so between now and then i am also going to hopefully get a whole chunk of training done :)

BTW....the post title was the line in the movie that came on when i started typing this...and u know...miners stole my idea..so i stole his :)

Comments:
nothing but admiration! triathlon training sounds HARD!!! just running keeps me exhausted 90% of the time. good stuff indeed :)

so, there might be a bike pack now? That'll probably help you getting out there

and no idea on the movie quote I'm afraid - even when I try to think back to what movies were on Saturday ... hmm

That's be good to get a bit of challenge going with some other cyclists, although sounds like you go hard anyway!
No idea about the movie!
Wasn't there a Macy Gray line in there a couple of posts back??
